Link in bio for my FREE golf mobility guide I struggled with early extension for years Going through drill after drill but only ever seeing minimal success Until I realized it wasnt just about my swing It was also about my body I had weak stiff hips that didnt ALLOW me to move the way I wanted in my swing I could do it slowly but when speed was brought into the equation I would revert back to my old move Until I started focusing more on unlocking my body thats when the magic happened If youre stuck trying the same range drills over and over Without any real success Click the link in my bio and Ill send you my FREE mobility guide Youll never know unless you try it Nik golf golfer golfing golftiktok

Also what’s that squeaking noise in the background? 😆 So if you follow me, you might know I’m constantly working on fixing my early extension… It’s been slowly getting better, especially with my irons, but still not where I want with my driver. I know that I lack shoulder external rotation, due in part, to shoulder instability from multiple dislocations… That’s not going to change because I won’t get surgery unless I absolutely have too. So, because if this inability to externally rotate my right shoulder and flatten my downswing plane, I early extend (losing my spine angle and lifting up my chest) in order to flatten the swing plane. This is what I was taught to do when I was younger. But now I realize, my body knows it MUST early extend to flatten out the plane enough with driver to hit the ball and not just stab the clubhead into the ground! So in order to fix my early extension, I must also fix my ability to shallow the club in transition. And since I can’t do it with my shoulder, I must do it with my forearms and wrists. It’s been about 2 weeks now of work, and my draw has already turned into a baby fade with driver. Which is where I want it! I will keep in touch about this swing change and let you know how it’s progressing 🤙 Want to play better golf? 🔥FOLLOW @golfstronghitbombs🔥 . . . . . #golf #golftips #golftok 0:16

This is the simplest way to get shallow. There’s a lot of noise on social media about how to shallow the club. The great thing about drills is they help you FEEL a motion, instead of listening to someone tell you how to do it. This drill will help make it simple. You can do this on your living room carpet with an iron or a wood, making some half speed swings and skimming the ground. Make sure you don’t tilt your upper body to shallow, but instead drop your trail arm to your side, straighten your trail elbow, and slightly rotate (supinate) your trail forearm. If you don’t drop your arms and get the club more parallel to the ground you will not be able to clip the ball off of the tee. Remember, shallow with the arms, not the torso. . . . . . #golf #golfer #golfdrill 0:30

Fix your slice for good! This drill teaches you what it feels like to drop the club into “the slot”. The key to hitting straight, solid shots. Do it 20-30x a day until it feels natural, then take that feel to the driving range and you’ll be shocked by the changes in your swing. As always, start with the ball teed up and swinging slowly to incorporate the feel into hitting a ball. Then speed up as you are able. This is a move that will change your game! Not only will it allow you to shallow the club and get it on plane more effectively… But it will also take pressure off your low back and decrease risk of low back pain or injury. The problem is, most people don’t have the hip range of motion or strength to get into the “deep” position. These two exercises will help you mobilize your hip capsule, improve your hip range of motion, and improve your movement patterns in the backswing. Save for later and send to a friend who has back pain or trouble hitting a slice. 🔥FOLLOW @golfstronghitbombs🔥 . . . . . . . . . . #golf #golfer #golftips #golfworkout #golftok #hitbombs 1:22

If you want to get better, faster… Without having to spend even more time and money at the driving range. Do this at home 50-100x a day. This drill is perfect for beginner golfers, higher handicappers or anyone who tends to hit weak slices out to the right. If your miss is a hook, this is probably not the drill for you. But good news is that’s the good players miss, and much easier fix. You would need to practice the opposite movement of swinging more out to in and opening up your shoulders/hips sooner. Remember, this is a drill! It’s meant to create a feel that you can take to the range and work into your swing. That process will take some time and patience. But the more the feel is engrained and the more coordination and body awareness you have to do the movement smoothly, the easier it will be to do over the ball. This drill should be in your golf toolbox. It’s a great way to naturally feel how to transfer energy up the kinetic chain… from your feet, knees, torso, hands and finally, to the club head. It’s only one of the pieces to the puzzle, but for some, it may be the piece they are missing in order to get a more fluid body motion and square up the club face with speed. Congrats to @rosezhang for her first LPGA Tour Win in her very first event as a pro! Absolutely incredible swing and mental game to go along with it! The thing that stands out to me most about her powerful swing, is her thoracic spine mobility which translates to a HUGE shoulder turn. Similar to Rory Mcilroy, her turn is approaching 120 degrees and allows for a massive amount of potential energy to be delivered to the back of the ball. Rose is going to be a superstar on the LPGA Tour for a long time to come. Via @callawaygolf Want to play better golf? 🔥FOLLOW @golfstronghitbombs🔥 . . . . . . . . . . #golf #golftok #golfswing 0:11

Do this to fast track your swing progress. If you are like most golfers, and have difficulty swinging from the inside, resulting in miss hits and weak fades and slices… start doing these today. These exercises will help you feel the proper arm path, lower body dissociation, and hip sequencing to help you put together the pieces of what your body needs to do to hit high, powerful draws. This is about building neuromuscular coordination, body awareness and learning movement patterns that you can take to the range and work into your golf swing.
