If you want to get better, faster… Without havi...
If you want to hit longer, straighter drives, skip the range today and do this 100 times instead. Long drives start with square contact, and if you're hitting weak slices out to the right, chances are you're opening up your body too soon and swiping across the ball, creating a glancing blow. This bump drill will teach you the feel of keeping your shoulders closed longer, while your weight shifts towards your lead side, allowing time for your arms to drop into the slot and square up the clubface on the ball. Simply make a full shoulder turn, trying to get your lead shoulder just inside your trail knee. Then, without unwinding, bump your hips forward, pushing into the ball of your lead foot. If you slice, you want to over-exaggerate this movement to ingrain the feeling. Then, once you've mastered that feel, start working on blending in more hip rotation to improve your neuromuscular control and perfect your sequencing. Do it 50 or 100 times a day to transform your swing and hit high draws for days.
