Fix your slice for good! This drill teaches you...
The most common swing killer for golfers is being unable to drop the club into the slot. In other words, dropping the arms down in line with the trail shoulder as the body starts the downswing sequence. Most golfer's hands move out in front of their shoulder toward the ball, which creates an over-the-top move. This dropping of the arms gets the club on plane and allows you to release the club hard without fear of hooking or slicing. To learn this move at home, stand in a doorway in golf posture. With heels in line with the doorframe, make a full backswing with the back of your trail hand against the wall and perform the first quarter of your downswing, shifting weight to your lead leg and starting to uncoil. As you do this, slide your hands down about a foot or two along the wall. This will give you the feel of how your arms should move to start the downswing and get you hitting longer, straighter golf shots.
