How to honor your relationships in the way you ...
I've had a practice for a long time that I also share in the book that when I say goodbye to people, I want to practice the fragility of relationships. So now it's going to be weird, when we say goodbye, you're going to be like, oh, I know what he's doing. But when I say goodbye to you, I'm going to mean it like I don't know if I'll see you again. And that gives me just a thin-sliced moment to honor our friendship and the time we spent. And it also prepares me in a practice way for the next engagement I'm going to have with somebody else, the next relationship, the next conversation, to be all in it with them too. So it can sound morbid because one of us is going to die at some point. The time that we have together, I want to make sure I'm in it because I don't know how long we'll be able to do it together.
