The movement of your back arm in the golf swing plays a huge role in creating quality and consistent strikes. Here, I demonstrate a common pattern in which the right elbow will move back behind the seam line of the shirt by the time the left arm gets parallel in the downswing. In the after video, I rectify this by keeping width in the transition and ensuring my lead arm doesn’t pin too far across my chest. BUT remember the back elbow is simply a reference of a position, not something that you should consciously try and drive down towards the golf ball to try and get ‘lag’ as many players mistakenly try and do! ✋ Hinge those wrists! 💪 An important part of creating speed & consistency in the golf swing is to allow your wrists to hinge. As a general reference; by the time that your lead arm is parallel to the ground in the back swing, you want to create a 90 degree, L-shaped structure between the club shaft and your front arm. Here I am using a rubber band attached to my club shaft & under my lead armpit to encourage this feel. 🎁 A BONUS sensation to get is that the palm of your back hand should push down on the thumb of your front hand throughout the entirety of the backswing which will encourage this hinge ✋ . . #kggolf #golftips #golf #pgatour #golfswing 0:09
