It’s called survival instinct. If anything, I should be offended that you even had to ask. Because in this house we have emergency sparkling for morale, Pinot for pacing, Cabernet for warmth, and a dessert wine purely for emotional support. And don’t get me started on charcuterie logistics — I’ve already rearranged the fridge twice to ensure optimal cheese deployment. So yes, I’m opening a bottle during the snowstorm. Honestly I’m opening one because of the snowstorm. If Mother Nature is going to trap me indoors, the least I can do is pair it with a proper flight.
