There's times when I've been really good about being present and there's times where I'm like sucking at being present. One, you just got to be aware of it. You just got to understand like, hey, am I doing a good job? The people I love? Our brains are racing. There's like a million things we can think about throughout the day, right? Like, what do I need to do in this? I got this going on. I got this in my personal life, in the business, my career, this. I got to think about, oh, what's going to happen next with here? How's this going to go? You start thinking about a million different things and then pretty soon, you're not present with anyone. You're just floating off. Well, you just realize like, man, I'm missing out on being really with somebody in the moment because I'm constantly letting the future dictate my thoughts. And it's like the future hasn't even happened yet and the past is gone. So, there's no way you can't go back. So, the past is done. The future hasn't happened yet. The only thing you really have is the present right now. The only way I know to be better at being present is just to really do a heat check with yourself and be like, am I being present? Like, are people saying stuff and I'm missing things? Like, I'm not catching on to things. I'm not listening well. I'm stressing about things that haven't happened yet. You know, am I really enjoying the moment? And like just taking it all in for what it is, regardless of what that moment is. I think if you can answer that question, yes, you're probably doing a pretty good job. I feel like honestly, man, I really haven't. I feel like I've been distracted. Yeah, I've been home with the kids or I've been with my loved ones, but I'm in a different place mentally and I just think that's not the place you want to be.
