If you're struggling with the slice, make sure you're not flaring your back elbow and pulling it around the body. This typically leads to an over-the-top and steep downswing. To work on this, put a ball between the forearms and don't drop it on the way back. One thing to note is you don't want your back elbow crease pointing towards the target. This will cause the elbows to separate off the start and the ball will fall out. Instead, point that crease out in front of you.
