Let's walk through how to set up the Chat GPT Google Sheets Google Docs extension. First we're going to hit install and follow through the on-screen prompts where you'll have to log into your Google account and approve some permissions. Now open up a Google Doc. Then click on extension, GPT, and set API key. The API key is going to pull data from Chat GPT and bring it into our Google Docs and Sheets. This screen is going to pop up with a link to click on to go get your API key. We'll reach this web page and we'll create a new API key. Your API key is going to look like a string of letters and numbers and you can hit this green button to copy and paste it onto your clipboard. Now head back to your Google Doc and copy that API key into the text box. Hit check to verify it worked and most importantly save the API key. You only have to do this once for each Google account. So once you've done it once in Google Docs it applies to all your Google Docs and Google Sheets. And to finally launch it in Google Docs you go to extensions, GPT, and then launch sidebar. Meanwhile in Google Sheets you go to extensions, GPT, and enable GPT function. And in Google Sheets you'll have this list of functions.
