how to do brand deals and monetize as an influencer
If you're somebody who's looking for brand deals, buy the product and tag it. For the past five brand deals that I've done, this is exactly what I do. If I like a product and I'm like really interested in a product, I see other people posting it, I see it somewhere in the world, and I'm like, oh this is actually something that would relate to my audience that I think they would want to use that I would love to share and I would love to, because this is what I do for a career, I would love to actually do a brand deal with them and work with this brand. I buy the product. First reason for that is because I genuinely want to feel if I enjoy the product without a bias. And if a company sends me the product and I don't actually purchase it, there's already, it can happen where you don't, where you aren't biased if they send it to you if you're really honest. But it's a little bit harder and I want it to be as easy as possible for me to genuinely know if I like the product, so I buy it. I see what it feels like to be an actual customer of the brand. From there, then I actually give myself some time to like spend with the product and really see what does it feel like if I was just a customer. Do I enjoy it? Do I feel like it's really quality? Is it really something that my audience would enjoy? Now that I've spent some time with it, because you know if a brand sends you product and you don't actually buy it, and there's a deliverable attached to it, usually it's a pretty quick turnaround. It's like we send you the product, you get a week, and now let's make a video. You buy it. I don't even tell them that I'm buying it. I buy the product. I use the product. Then once it's been a couple weeks or a month or however long I feel, when I genuinely feel it inside and I'm like, oh, I love this. I've used it and I now feel fully confident to share this with my audience. That's when I hit the brand up. That's when I send them a message. I give them the receipts. Not my actual receipt of my product, but I'm like, yo, I'm a customer. I love this. I loved it so much that I've even been sharing it with my audience. I've used it now. I know exactly why my audience would love it. Here's how I can share it to them. It's the best way you'll get brand deals. It'll be on brand for you. Your audience will feel it and the company will be happy that you're a real customer and they're not just somebody that they gifted product to and it's like a fake-ish brand deal. That's the way that you do brand deals properly and your audience will love it. Much love.
