OpenAI really is in an arms race with Google right now. So yesterday, Google dropped ScreenShare for developers in their AI studio. Today, OpenAI announces that ScreenShare is going to be available in advanced voice mode on mobile phones, which is something you guys literally asked for in the TikTok comments when I talked about Gemini. You said, hey, can this be available on mobile? Lo and behold, wait a day. OpenAI is here. They have ScreenShare. And what it's going to be is you just turn on ScreenShare while you're in advanced voice mode, and you can talk with your phone while showing it a picture of whatever your phone is looking at. This could be useful for audio descriptions for people who have trouble seeing. It could be useful for looking in your refrigerator and coming up with recipe ideas because you can just let OpenAI and let ChatGPT check out your refrigerator and suggest what you should have for dinner. It could also be useful for understanding a complex problem you're dealing with in real life, not just on your screen. A great example that comes to mind for me as a Lego guy is I could be staring at a bunch of Lego bricks, and I could actually get ideas about what to build. So there's obviously endless opportunities. This is basically giving ChatGPT eyes to look at the real world, and you can talk with it as you go. This is what was demoed to Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes for folks in the U.S. on Sunday, and they're sort of formally announcing it today. I'm not sure when everyone's going to get at the rollout piece. It has historically been somewhat rocky for OpenAI. It is not on my phone yet. It may be on my phone later today. So let me know when you have it, and let me know what you're using it for, because this is one of those new technologies that you can use in more ways than I can think of. There's so many different applications when you give a large language model eyes. So let's see what we do.
