This is not what the weight shift looks like. The weight shift is not shifting your entire body onto the lead leg. If you do that, you're just asking to come steep and over the top. The weight shift is a movement of the hips where you're thinking about the belt buckle working back to the lead heel. It works back as this hip, which is in a full turn, anchored here to create space down here. Once we've done this, we have all of this space and yes our weight is moving into our left heel, but we can turn through that without throwing our upper body over. We're here rather than here. So the weight shift needs to come from proper hip rotation and not from upper body movement. So think about your hips in your weight shift and not your upper body as much.
