Are AI companies raising at higher prices than non-AI startups? The answer is yes. 2024 data is out from CARTA to prove this point. Let's start with seed round. So non-AI companies in the 25th percentile are raising at 10 million post money, and AI companies are raising at 13, not a crazy jump, but still bigger. If we hop over to 90th percentile, 40 million post money for non-AI companies and 50 million post money for AI companies. This actually changes at Series B. So for more later stage companies, it looks like AI companies raised at 480 million post money for 90th percentile, and they raised at 511 million post money for non-AI companies. So this are to break a little bit, but the year ended with AI being much hotter, or at least a little bit hotter than non-AI companies. I have a feeling this will level out a little bit in 2025, but we will see.
