Or I can turn the wheel to the left, counterclockwise. If you're someone who has an inside takeaway, you have this steering wheel rotated too much to the right, clockwise. Now, if I do that motion right there, and I bring that down here behind me, you see where that club would go. See how the left arm is way high, the elbow and arm are away from my body, the right arm's low. The club would be way under plane here. That, with a club in my hands, would look like this. Club real flat and inside face open. Now, if that's true, that means to fix that, how do you fix that? What do we say? You have to feel the opposite. If getting the steering wheel to the right, clockwise, is bad and inside, that means I have to feel, feel like I rotate the steering wheel to the left, counterclockwise. If I did that with a club, that same feel, counterclockwise rotation, call it the counter roll. When I go back, watch what the club does. Stays outside my hands. Now, this is too far outside my hands. And why does that make sense? Because if you're here inside, and you want to pose perfect, this is where you actually want to go, you have to feel exaggerated, too much outside. So we're counter rolling, right? This is the sensation, like you have the steering wheel, countering it to the left, to the left. So if I'm going on my way back, I'm going this way. Now, am I going to actually do it this much when I have a club in my hands and a ball? Absolutely not. My brain's going to find a middle ground. But this is what I have to feel. If you've had the same takeaway issues for a year, five years, 10 years, et cetera, and you haven't fixed it, it's because you're either not fixing the right element, or you're not doing it enough.
