I feel kind of bad for the former CTO and founder of Loom. If you don't know, they were bought by Atlassian. They got acquired for almost a billion dollars. His post right now on the top of Hacker News is about how he's quite unhappy with his scenario. He's stinking rich, exited his tech company, and has no idea what to do with life. I guess this is kind of a reminder that even those who have it all have it pretty rough if you lose your purpose. Essentially, he sold his company, went into the woods, gave up a $60 million pay package, and dumped his girlfriend. He got into robotics, met with 70 investors, tried to join Doge, and then went to Hawaii and is now learning physics. It must be pretty hard to sell your company and then lose your sense of purpose and then have to ask yourself what's next without the necessary need for money, which tends to be a big motivator. Heard a lot about founders who lose their way after they have a big exit event or a big wash of liquidity. I don't know what to say, but he is absolutely just getting flamed. This is crazy. This is like 10 minutes of scrolling and I'm not even halfway.
