Here's your daily reminder that you can buy land in this country, even if you have no cash. I did not know this until I bought undeveloped land this past summer with a loan from Farm Credit. Farm Credit is a nationwide network. I'm not sponsored by them. A nationwide network of financial co-ops that write loans for people doing things related to farming, timber, etc. They do require 20 to 30% down. So if you do not have enough money to do that, you are going to go to the USDA website. They have a bunch of programs that are 0% down. They are more than happy to work with you, especially if you are a veteran, low-income, minority, anything like that. That is a government agency, and they are very happy to work with you if you have agricultural plans. Farm Credit has been the best lending agency I've ever worked with, and this is my fifth real estate transaction. You have options if you want to do this. And again, you can buy one acre of land. One acre is enough. When people tell me that 6.74 acres isn't a lot of land, and then I walk it, I'm like, y'all are nuts, or you've never walked land before. You can get one acre and split the cost with friends and family. Like, you can make this happen if you are feeling a calling to head out into the country, to buy some land, to steward the land, to grow your own food, do it. All you have to do is be thorough with this stuff, you guys. It's literally not rocket science. And again, I knew nothing about any of this, like, four months ago. And now I'm randomly on here advocating for gravel roads and Amish people, but life is funny that way.
