Stop leaving the face open! #golf #golfvideos #...
Have you been struggling with a slice and you've started to shallow your club but you can't figure out why that ball keeps going to the right? Let me help you fix that. As people start to learn how to let the club, you don't really call it shallow, but get it more on plane coming down behind them here versus coming over the top. The problem is they start to leave the club face really, really open when they do that. And so it'll result in kind of a lot of tossing the hands and arms, maybe some early extension and other things to solve that. Now, here's a really exaggerated feel that you can use to fix the problem. So we're gonna swing up to the top and you see my pointer on the face there. As I let my hands and arms come down, I want you to feel like you twist the pointer or the club face toward the ground a lot really early back here. So I'm letting my hands and arms fall and I'm twisting the club face to the ground early. Now you might hit some chunky shots. If you start to do this, you might hit some that go left. That's okay. Way better than slicing it or having that shot that tails off to the right. This is how you're gonna start to fix it. It's gonna help your body stay in the shot and rotate better if we get the club coming a little bit more on plane versus way over the top. So try this out next time you're at the driving range or on the golf course to help you stop that slice.
