1 - no shift off the ball - using primarily verticle force to power the swing (think of a jump with the lead foot happening at around left arm parallel in downswing) 2 - big shift off the ball - using lateral forces to power the swing. Think of a big push towards the target to get the swing started, then a big push away from the target to recenter, then slamming on the brakes towards the target to create the “whip” and downswing speed 3 - centered pivot using primarily torque or “twist” to power the swing.
