With every single person here, if you think about that teacher who saw something in you, you know their names. And so the thing that I like to remind people is like, now tell me every other teacher you had that day. You can't remember their names at all. In other words, when someone believes in us and takes it as their job to help us rise, we literally will carry their names with us for the rest of our lives. So the question I always ask people is, wouldn't you want to be that person? Like wouldn't when you, if I flash forward 20 years, 30 years, 40 years from now, and I talk to somebody and I say, tell me the person who believed in you, who saw something in you that no others saw, and they tell me your name, you know? And that's what great leadership is. You accept the awesome responsibility to see those around us rise. And for you, it might be little innocuous little things that mean absolutely nothing. You might forget their names, but they will literally carry your name and the lessons that you gave them for the rest of their life.
