I wish that more people realized that your nervous system needs to feel emotionally safe in order for you to not get burned out and you can do all of the breathwork tactics that you want, you can try and sleep nine hours a night, but if you are waking up in a life that is chronically stressful for you and where you do not have emotional safety, you are on the path to burnout and chronic dysregulation. And this is obviously a really hard pill to swallow because for most people now that are learning about the nervous system and are realizing that they have been chronically dysregulated for a long time, they're essentially waking up in a life that has been created for their survival self and not their real resourced self. Which brings us to one of the ultimately most challenging aspects of your healing and regulation journey which is going at the pace of the slowest part of your nervous system which is actually the fastest path to regulation. We move at this pace through something called titration which is also like microdosing new sensations and microdosing your healing.
