This is why you should stop opening your stance out of the bunker. If you're like me, at one point you were probably taught to open the stance and swing way out to in really cutting across these. With bunker shots, you want to keep your weight forward through impact. With a more open stance, it's tough to keep the weight forward and it can cause you to lean back. But when you close the stance, it's going to make it much easier to lean into that leg and keep the weight forward through the shot.
