My Favorite Rotation Drill For Backswing & Down...
When I put this through the middle part of my back, I really feel the middle part of my spine and my ribcage moving. It forces me to move my body how I want. Now notice when I'm doing this, I'll allow my left heel and left knee to kick in a little bit on the way back, back to about the ball, and then I'm working through to my full finish, so my body's fully facing the target. And that gives me a feel like my left side of my ribcage turns in towards the ball and tilts over, and then the right side of my ribcage moves on the way through. If you move this middle part of your body, this core region like this, remember it's rotation and it's tilt. Not one with that, but I'm not going level to the ground, level to the ground when I'm doing it. That's not it. I'm not just tilting with no turn. I'm combining the two. So the grip goes down, the club head goes down and through. This forces me to feel this. And I have a lot of my players do this. When you're out playing, someone else is hitting, do two or three reps. So I like that. I just did two or three reps. Now I put a club in my hand. I try and feel the same thing. Like my body's turning and tilting, turning and tilting on both sides. And we can show me doing this, that Tommy Fleetwood in that black shirt model image as well is going to give you good visuals. So I'm going to feel the same sort of pieces, turn and tilt, turn and tilt.
