This can be really hard sometimes, but if we’re forcing it now, that relationship will eventually drift further and that energy could be better spent on new relationships that are serving you in the present ❤️

Not every friendship has to have a future. Just because you have a past, just because you have memories, just because you have nostalgia, doesn't mean you have to force a friendship into the future. It's okay to let it go. It's okay to let them go, or let them let you go. Forcing a friendship into the future can cost you more than you realize. Because if you no longer want that friendship, or they no longer want it, you're simply wasting time and energy. It's okay to celebrate what you once had so that you can make space for what's to come.
