It's very clear to see that when the lead arm is parallel to the ground, the club is pretty much set creating an almost 90 degrees. Just think about this, it'll be extremely hard for you to hit a powerful shot with no setting of the club because there's simply no leverage to deliver to the ball. A great way to check how much you're hinging and setting the club is by sticking the lineman stick down your shaft and see where the stick points to when your arm is parallel.
