Lets get rid of this over the top problem #golf...
Are you coming over the top in your golf swing causing slices, pulled hooks and pulled shots? Well let me show you how to fix it. During my lessons when I see people coming over the top most of the time this is what they're doing. They get to the top of their swing and the upper body and the lower body will rotate at the same time causing the club to get out here and it's a swing left and over the top. So how do we get rid of that? Well what we need to try and train is that when we get to the top we feel that the lower body separates first. It's starting to rotate first. It's driving onto the left side and it's rotating which gets the club back here and then we can attack it more from the inside. So if I give you a little drill to practice this if you get your club put it over here on your shoulders take it to your backswing and feel that you drive the lower body keeping this right here. Don't let your upper body rotate. Keeping it there drive onto the left side and start to dissociate the lower half so that we can feel the stretch here and then unleash. So if you do this five or six times to get a feel for it. Back, drive, separate, there. Then take it into your shot and start to create a feel for it. Let me know if that works for you and feel free to DM me or swing on Instagram and let me know in the comments what you want to see next. Thanks.
