Okay, if you're the kind of person that just wants a quick and easy in-and-out burger drive-through experience with AI, this video is not for you. If you are willing to do work with AI to get incredibly useful results, that's this video. I used 19 prompts, 19, to get a single good prompt, 12 pages long, 12-page prompt, not the answer, the prompt, that I gave to Deep Research that gave me a 47-page report. The report is on the history of AI, actually. Incredible experience. I wanted to do it to show how I look at prompting. I wanted you to be able to look over my shoulder. So I started out brainstorming in ChatGPT 4.0. I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted to do yet. I was starting at the very beginning, kind of riffing. I got to some kind of a sense of the complete overlay of the prompt, maybe 80% complete in 4.0, but it needed logic. And so I went to O3miniHi for the logic, argued with it a lot about how you handle sources, about how you handle scoping, and then ultimately went to O1Pro to write a very, very complete prompt. And after all of that, I went to Deep Research. If that sounds like a lot of work, hey, I warned you at the start of this video. This is not for the people who want the one-and-done prompts. This is for people who want useful work. People ask me how I get incredible results with AI. Please tell me you're prompting Secret Sauce. The answer is, I just work at it, and I iterate at it until I get what I want. Now, I do want you to be able to look over my shoulder, and so if that's you, I put up a Secret Sauce post on Substack that has screenshots of all of those chat GPT conversations I have. It also has links to the individual prompts I created along the way, and links to the 47-page report on the history of AI, which is kind of cool to read. If that's what you'd like, go get it. It's a really big hack, and I know it sounds obvious, but when you look at the details, it's not. Sometimes I've had to argue about when the research starts, right? Like, it tried to start it in 2018. I was like, the history of AI? 2018? What are we talking about? Anyway, it's late in the day. I thought prompting was gonna be something that went away, and AI would understand us better. It's not going away. Prompting is gonna matter in a year.
