ChatGPT still leaving hidden 'watermark' charac...
These hidden watermarks in ChatGPT's text output really hit a nerve, generating millions of views and thousands of comments. I just wanted to clear a couple of things up. So the most common thing by far that people are saying in the comments is that if you just paste ChatGPT's output into a text editor like Notepad, or use the Paste Without Formatting option in things like Word, that that will get rid of these sneaky little narrow space characters and zero-width characters. Well, yes and no. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It really depends what app you are pasting into. And the only way to be really sure is to paste into a code editor or this simple free online tool. And people suggested some great ways of getting rid of these characters easily, like screenshotting the text, putting the screenshot back into ChatGPT, manually copying the text out, putting it into a Google Translate or a Humanizer app. But the good news is you don't really have to worry about it, because the second most common thing people are saying in the comments is it looks like OpenAI have fixed it. Now, they've not said anything official, but I have been testing this today, and I just cannot get it to create text with these sneaky little narrow space, zero-width space characters in. And I'm looking back, and it looks like anything created on or after the 23rd of April doesn't have those characters in.
