Someone came out with a chat GPT extension for Google Docs and I thought how can we use this to make job searching easier. So we open the sidebar, select our resume and include it in the prompt, and asked it if I could become a product manager with my highlighted resume. And it gives me an output that highlights some of the skills I have that would help me become a product manager. But let's take this one step further and find a job and write a cover letter. So I found this product manager job from Netflix and I highlight the entire job and I asked chat GPT to write me a cover letter using that highlighted job description and my resume. And it comes out with this response. Obviously this is an API, so there's probably some finessing to do, but it's already parsed my experience and aligned it with some of the bullets from that other job description. Literally still not sponsored, but this extension is so freaking cool.
