If you feel like you missed the train with AI, it's not too late because of the newest thing that just dropped with ChatGPT. The future of being able to work with these LLMs is being able to write amazing prompts to get great results. But this brand new model that OpenAI dropped is basically like an entirely different product. This is a brand new opportunity to learn how to be a prompt engineer. On Thursday, September 12th, OpenAI announced a brand new version of ChatGPT. The model is called O1. O1 is basically just a new version of ChatGPT. It's like the new version of the iPhone coming out, except this one is significantly different than the previous versions. This model is specifically designed to be able to reason, meaning it's been built differently so that I can go through and reason through complex problems by creating a chain of thought and thinking through potential solutions to a problem that you're asking it, rather than just spitting out the first answer it thinks of. Because this model is built so differently and serves a different purpose than all of the other previous models of OpenAI ChatGPT we've ever experienced, I think right now is the perfect time, the perfect opportunity to make yourself an expert because this is where the money lies. This is where we're really gonna start to see the power of these tools really start to come into life and actually be productive and useful in businesses, in operations, and even in our just day-to-day life. Specifically, I think right now is the time to learn how to write prompts that get the most out of these models. Because this model works differently on the inside, we're going to need to give it different kinds of prompts than what we've been using for ChatGPT in the past. And I don't know what those prompts look like. And right now, everyone is going to be trying to figure it out all at once. And there's no reason why you can't try to figure it out either. We're all gonna learn together. All you need to do is go to OpenAI, make a ChatGPT account if you don't have one already. In the dropdown, when you're selecting your model, choose 01-preview and start experimenting with asking it to solve problems. Think of strategic or complex problems that you actually encounter in your day-to-day life or in your business or your job. Tinker with different ways that you can ask it to perform the task or to give you different kinds of answers and then use what you learn to figure out how to write the best prompts possible to get the results that you're looking for.
