Val Town is a serverless platform where JavaScr...
So I'm always on the lookout for AI tools that actually work and make my life easier. I found one. I want to share it with you. It's called Valtown. I know it's called Valtown and it makes deployment as a problem go away. So if you're coding with an LLM, let's say you're coding in cursor or you're coding in bolts, you still need to figure out how you deploy it, which if you're not a developer means how do you get it so other people can see it. Now, it is something that should not be hard to do. I have long believed it should be easy and Valtown is the closest I've seen to actually solving it. So what they do is as you type, as you give the LLM instructions to code, you say, hello, this is what I want to build. I want to build a landing page. I want to build whatever. It codes up what it calls a VAL, which is basically a serverless JavaScript code snippet that it then immediately deploys like that. You don't have to ask. It just deploys it. And you have a link and you can share that link and you can ask other people what they think about that link. It's incredibly easy to get feedback and feedback is one of the key components that's been missing from AI driven iteration loops. I don't just want feedback from my AI. I want feedback from other people. And I think it's really handy to have that quick a deploy cycle. You don't even have to click publish like you do with Claude. It just automatically deploys. And then if you want to deploy it to a custom domain, if you want to hook it up to your GitHub and your developer, you can. It's super easy. In fact, it's so easy that I had fun and I made a little link using Valtown to talk about Valtown, which was surprisingly easy, immediately deployed, and I just stuck it in the comments at the bottom. I thought it was really fun. I've been playing around with it for a little bit. I've been building with it for a little bit. It's super easy. And one of the things that isn't about deploy that I like about it is it explains chain of thought clearly in a well-designed way. Chain of thought is something we are still figuring out how to explain to users when the LLM is thinking. And they do such a good job setting the text out, explaining really clearly in a way I can scan and read quick bullets on what the AI thinks about what it's going to do next, what it's trying to do, what it's focused on, what it's changing, how it's editing things. I just think that's a really nice little touch. So if you want to try it, go for it. Serverless JavaScript, it doesn't do things other than serverless JavaScript. So if you're a developer looking for something else, it's not going to work for you. I'm not going to pretend it does. But that simplicity also enables that magical deploy experience, and I'm certainly having fun with it. And there's a lot you can do with it if you know serverless JavaScript. It's a very flexible option. So there you go, Valtown, check it out. It's like if Bolt took all the friction off deploy, and it was just like, whew, quick. All right, have fun.
