Taylor's team obviously knows a thing or two about trademark law. When she decided she wanted to register this sick beat, they knew they couldn't do it on just a song lyric alone. They needed to tie that phrase to a specific product or service. And so they produced this sick beat drumsticks. So what that means now is that nobody can use the phrase on products or services that are confusingly similar to the drumsticks that contain the same name.
