Here are three doubts and insecurities I had to overcome to start creating content in April, 2024. Believe it or not, I've been playing around with the idea of creating content since the end of 2023, but I really didn't take action until the end of ski season 2024. And just like anyone else, I'm human. I had doubts and insecurities. Number one, from the outside as a non-creator, it looks like the AI influencer space is super crowded, noisy, and full of spam and people trying to sell you courses. Even my closest friend said, don't do content on AI, it's too crowded and cringy. But I just had to have faith in myself that over time I'd figure out my voice and my unique position as a creator. Number two, fear of toxicity, humiliation, embarrassments, et cetera. I still get lots of people commenting on my low voice, my looks, I don't wear makeup, I don't look like other girls on Instagram, but I made a conscious decision to just be myself, like without makeup or dressing up, simply because I wish I had more women role models like that when I was growing up. Number three, I was very uncomfortable filming myself and being on camera. Even my earliest TikTok videos, I can't watch them because they're so cringy and I just can't watch them. But after about 100 videos, I just stopped caring, which is why I honestly say you haven't started creating content until you've made 100 videos, because that's how many videos it takes to just get over yourself. So if you're struggling with any of these insecurities or concerns, just know that you are not alone, but have faith in yourself that you will figure it out as you keep going.
