Let's talk about a couple of reasons why you could be really slicing it. If you're slicing the ball, obviously the face is open, so we want to try to figure out a way to close it up. So what I like to tell my students is feel your glove hand and the logo on your glove stay more down towards the ball. Now what usually happens is we get to this point here, and then at impact, if you take a look at my logo hand, that logo is pointed straight up to the sky, leaving the face wide open, and no matter what you do, this ball is going to miss out to the right, and you're going to hit a slice. So feel like this logo on your club is pointed more down towards the ball, and what that does is you take a look at the club, now it's starting to square up, and we should see a little bit more success there. The other thing that a lot of people do is, especially with their driver, along with leaving the face open, they tend to lean back on their back foot, and yes, you do want to hit up on your driver, but if we get in a good setup position, that's going to help us do that. So get in a good setup position, and what you're going to do is just bump your front hip out slightly, then that will drop your shoulder, and you're just going to try to maintain this setup position throughout your whole swing. Now when you make a swing, feel the logo now stay down towards the ball and come through, and hopefully, even though if you don't cure the slice completely, you hit more of a power fade, you're not hitting someone's backyard.
