ChatGPT has a new CLI tool, UMM, which will do your tasks for you. This tool is causing engineers to flip out. Why? Because with UMM, you can process a day's worth of Jira tickets in 15 minutes. At that level of optimization, how many of us are still going to be needed? I don't know, but if that doesn't scare you, it should. Let me show you what I did today. First, I went to git-umm-io, installed using pip, then I ran UMM at the command line. From there, I created three EC2 instances, updated their IAM permissions, and then connected them to my Postgres database. What usually takes me a day took me 15 minutes. Now I know why my coworkers who serve the ChatGPT are never around after lunch. And now that I'm done with everything, I'm going to join them. I keep telling people, ChatGPT has become sentient, and with tools like this, they're starting to believe me. ChatGPT is amazing, it's changing the world, and everyone should start using these tools today.
