Inside BYD

This is a BYD showroom and it just popped up pretty recently and you can see it's absolutely massive. It's amazing how big this is. I'm excited to go inside. If there's one company leading China's EV dominance, it's BYD. Once known for making batteries, BYD now outsells Tesla in global EV sales. What makes BYD so threatening? For one, it's price. You can get a vehicle for around $11,000. BYD controls its entire supply chain from battery production to car assembly, which means lower costs and higher profit margins. Their flagship models like the SEAL and the Dolphin offer Tesla-level range at a fraction of the price. And with expansion into Europe and Latin America, BYD is not just a Chinese powerhouse, it's a global one. This is my first time ever sitting in a BYD car and it's quite nice. I mean, everything about it just feels very premium and luxurious. I love that this entire thing is a screen. And yeah, I'm quite impressed already. Historically, there's been this idea that, you know, made in China means low quality, but right now, this definitely doesn't feel like it's made in China.
