Two guys from Harvard took Meta's new smart glasses and attached mostly off-the-shelf technology to them and made them into what is essentially docks and glasses. Basically what these things do is you can walk down the street and look at anyone around you and these things will use facial recognition technology to tell you their name, their phone number, where they live, where they work, everything. The point they're trying to make in creating these glasses is that these things can be created with mostly off-the-shelf technology. You can just piece together different pieces of technology that are already available for sale and create things like this. People tend to talk about the future of technology and how scary it is, but people don't realize that most of it already exists and only needs to be put together in a certain way to create the glasses from watchdogs. These guys aren't planning on selling these things, they were just making them to prove it can be done. Scary stuff.
