I hate the 4th of July down here. And it's not even like the bottle rockets and shit, it's the mortars, because of the percussion. At the end of the day, like that's the whole thing with the noise is, I couldn't, I wasn't even allowed to open cans of scallops in the kitchen for the longest time, because they came in these paint cans, and like when you'd be prying the lids off, there was so much force behind that lid, and when you get to a certain point, it would boom, and it'd shoot the damn lid up in the air, and the first time that I ever opened one of them damn things in the kitchen over there, I'm prying around it, getting ready to make bacon-wrapped scallops, and I get to that point, and it's like, pow! And I threw the can back, you know, I pushed everything on the cutting board in front of me off, and I stumbled back, and my executive chef, he was like, he was like, are you all right? I'm trembling, I'm like, yeah, I just need a minute, you know, and I walked out on the back door, smoked a cigarette, and called my girlfriend at the time, I'm like, hey, I need you to bring me my medicine.
