So, most of my places that take me to Middle Earth videos are filmed within the Driftless area, specifically in Wisconsin. The Driftless area was largely unaffected by glaciation during the last ice age, so the topography in the Driftless is a lot more dramatic than, say, when you get down into Illinois or western Iowa, where it's flat as a board. And this area specifically was filmed just below the dam that was naturally placed by glaciation that forms Devil's Lake from my previous places that take me to Middle Earth video.
