So I'm a politics reporter, I've been doing this, I have eyeliner everywhere, for a couple years now. And I've seen a lot of Trump meltdowns, I've seen a lot of freakouts, I've seen a lot of angry press conferences. The meltdown that Trump is having right now over Kamala Harris's DNC speech might be an all-timer. It started pretty much as soon as she took the stage. He was very clearly on Truth Social, like, hate-watching and live-posting, and let me just show you some of the things he wrote. So this was the literal, like, very first post, here she comes, into the arena! And from that point onward, he was just like, live-reacting to every single thing she said. Like, this post, like, is she talking about me? I'm sorry, that's just like, incredibly funny, like, that's what you text your friends when they're talking to your crush. And he's never beating the fan allegations. I counted, shortly after the speech ended, and I think he posted, like, 47 times, within like an hour or so. He complained that she called Governor Tim Walz a coach, calling him an assistant coach because he was a defensive coordinator, not a head coach, whatever. Too many thank yous, too many thank yous. And that moment, the thank yous, was because the applause was so loud, and people would not stop clapping. So I think it took like a solid two minutes for her to actually get to a point where she could start talking, because it was so loud in the arena, so she just, like, kept thanking the crowd. Anyway, 47 truth social posts. The speech ends, and then he immediately calls into Fox News to, like, talk to them during their live coverage. And you could tell he was incredibly flustered. He was, like, talking to them, he was fighting with the hosts, he got mad at Martha McCallum because she mentioned that, like, Harris was polling well in some states. And he was so mad, he kept accidentally pressing the buttons on his phone, so he would try to talk and it'd be like, beep beep beep beep, it was just, and then Fox was like, oh, we gotta go, like, sorry, the show is ending, and they sort of just, like, cut him off. And then he calls into Newsmax, and just gets even more deranged, he's, like, inviting the hosts, he's like, oh, the three of us should, like, go to Venezuela, to, like, Caracas, you should bring your husband. Like, he's really on one tonight in a way that, like, I haven't seen in years. I could keep going on and on about it because there is so much fucking content.
