So for those that don't know me, two years ago I lost my dad unexpectedly at 53 years old and it is my why for pretty much everything else I have done since. It's why I quit my job in the corporate world before I even qualified, why I often make irrational decisions, why I quit drinking, why I suddenly feel far more anxious and overwhelmed, and it's why I've grown apart from people I used to be so close to. So when I show you the choices I've made and the emotions I feel, it's important to recognise why this is the case. I started this page two years ago with the intention of showcasing what I get up to outside of work, but it's turned into so much more than that. It's a way for me to articulate my thoughts without really speaking about them, talking without talking. Sometimes the written word is easier than the spoken. I've got a lot to learn over the next few years as grief isn't a long path that just ends. It doesn't get smaller or easier, life just gets bigger. So yeah, I guess this page is primarily about life and fitness, but now you know my driver for most of that, so this is my why.
