He is a GOOD man with a good heart and a vision for the best version of America

On today's episode of what made Ashley cry today, I bring you this. When it was announced that Vice President Harris picked Tim Waltz, I cried and I cried hard. And I cried hard because Tim Waltz is my dad. My dad had that side of him that Tim has that is a true hunting, fishing, firefighting, logging, blue-collar like my dad had that side. But then he also had the liberal, I'm gonna fight like fucking hell for women's rights and for gay rights and for marginalized populations and I'm going to use the time I have on earth as a privileged white male to do what I can to try to make this world a better place for those who it's really fucked up for. And also my dad was the guy like Tim who just went out of his way to show people kindness and love and compassion and forgiveness and also called shitty people out, right? Like my dad was not afraid to tell us we don't spend time with this person because this person's a shitty person just like he's calling out JD and Donald Trump for being shitty humans, right? So anyway when I had that reaction to him being picked at first I couldn't figure out why because I was a voodoo judge girl that's who I wanted. But then I was like oh it's because Tim's like my dad and my dad would have been outstanding. My dad is one of those people that people still come up to me to this day and say the day that your dad left this earth is the day one of the best people on earth left and they mean it and it's true.
