the folks in men's and women's lacrosse responsible for this past weekend in the final four drop the ball again. So we travel down to the women's final four on Friday. Florida was in the final four. My wife played at Florida. First and foremost what you need to do is find a way to get the men's and the women's final four in the same location. You want to grow the game? Get all of the folks that support lacrosse all in one location. It's a smaller niche sport and it's all about viewership. Trying to get more eyeballs in the game. Get more people in the seats. When you turn on another sport and there's no one in the crowd, you usually turn it off or aren't really that interested. The more people, the more butts in the seats, the more TV viewership is better. So have them all together. Alternate the games and get it in a great city. Not in the middle of nowhere where you can't go to dinner after, you can't interact with friends or your friends don't even live in the area because everyone on Memorial Day weekend is on vacation somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic in the Northeast. So put it in Philly. Put it in Baltimore. They're centrally located between the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast and they're easy to get in and out of. Both right off 95. Both great airports to get in and out of. Make it simple. Make it easy. Stop separating people. Stop playing games at noon and if you're gonna do that it might as well have everybody together so they can enjoy it together in the communities instead of being spread out and people end up watching at home on TV and end up not really watching because they're going vacation anyways because there's no interest in going to the games when everyone's separated and there's no one in the crowd. I don't know who's responsible for it but it continues to happen in that sport and being down here in Maryland I'm just getting annoyed with everyone complaining. I don't blame them because the crosses keep stubbing their toe.
