View OriginalClaude looked over my Canva carousel and responded by scheduling a performance review. For me. I got early access to test Claude's new Chrome extension, and yes, it actually clicks, types, organizes, and critiques. Of course, I gave it my calendar, my drive, my Canva, and put it to work. First I had Claude book a meeting. He opened Google Calendar, filled out the info, and even sent the invite. I asked him to organize my Google Drive, he proposed a folder system, and just started building it. Then I showed Claude a carousel I'm working on and asked for some feedback. He gave me notes. Very directly. And after all that hard work, it was time for a break. So I had Claude order some carne asada tacos for lunch. But here's what most people are going to miss. If you let AI act in your browser, you're not just giving it control, you're exposing it to whatever hidden messages may be on those websites. That means the biggest risk right now is prompt injection attacks. Basically, when a website, document, or email has hidden instructions in the content itself. Then when AI reads it, it thinks it came from you. So an innocent-looking email might be telling your AI, hey, go grab my bank statements and send them to this email address. And Claude does always ask your permission before sending anything. That's why it's important to review what he's sending and understand what may have influenced that. Once you start using Claude in Chrome, browsing's not going to be passive anymore. Now it's collaborative. This isn't a productivity hack. It's a whole new way to work with AI. So if you're ready for an AI assistant that can actually schedule meetings and send emails, get on the waitlist. Or you can keep copying and pasting everything yourself.
Summary
The Claude AI Chrome extension can interact with your browser by organizing files, scheduling meetings, and providing feedback on projects. While it offers significant capabilities, there are risks, particularly regarding prompt injection attacks, where hidden instructions on websites could manipulate the AI's actions. Users must be cautious and review permissions before allowing AI to act on their behalf, as this changes the nature of browsing from passive to collaborative.
