5 Northeastern RaRa’s, you can get into! ##coll...
If you're looking for a rah-rah college in the Northeast that doesn't have less than a 10% acceptance rate, I wanna give you five of my favorite Northeast rah-rahs that you can actually get into. The first is Penn State University in University Park. Now, Penn State is the blueprint for school spirit. Whiteout football games, legendary. They have over 47,000 undergrads. So it's a small city in and of itself. Big school, big school energy. They have top majors in business, engineering, communications. I mean, they really do have it all. Out-of-state acceptance rate is about a 55%. So that's one you should put on your list. My next is Syracuse. Syracuse is a lot smaller, about 19,000 undergrads, but it really, really delivers all the rah-rah that you would ever need. You wouldn't even notice that it's only 19,000 undergrads. And for some of you, you might be super stoked at that number, that it's not too big and not too small, a little Goldilocks vibe. Syracuse is all orange. Everything in Cuse is where snow meets serious sports hype. Their carrier dome is electric during basketball season. Of course, they have football. Popular majors include journalism. In Newhouse, that's become their biggest, biggest deal for communications. Business at the Whitman School of Political Science, admissions rate is about a 50%. So if you're prepared for the chill, I would definitely check that one out. My next is University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. UConn is husky mania. And if you've been watching March Madness for the last several years, you will know it delivers on that for sure. It's very, very big. They also happen to have a very strong program for students who have learning differences. If you're somebody who's looking for the big rah-rah, but you need that extra support, UConn is where it's at. Out-of-state acceptance rate hovers around 56, 60%. It's gaining so much speed. So definitely put that one on your list if you're thinking about it for a nice, big East Coast rah-rah. My next is something that East Coasters have been loving forever and ever. And if you're on the West Coast or you're in the Midwest, you might be thinking University of Delaware. Oh, you better put that one on your list. Total vibe, brick-lined streets, tons of Northeastern students. School pride runs really, really deep. It's home to about 19,000 undergrads. So we've got that similar Syracuse size, top majors in nursing and engineering and business. And you're looking at about a 70% out-of-state admissions rate. So that is definitely gonna be one to look at. And my last is University of Rhode Island. Now, I've never talked about this school, but I'm doing a lot of research on it. It's coastal, it's cute, and students really, really love it. They show up for their Rams and they've got a great size, about 14,000 undergrads. So you're not getting swallowed by those 500-person lecture halls. You're really gonna be getting a little bit more attention from your professors, a little bit more of that one-on-one. So if you've been looking for schools that are more in that size range, you're gonna get it with URI. It's definitely known for marine biology. They've got a great pharmacy program, a great communications program. Out-of-state acceptance rate is about 76%. You can't go wrong with that one. And if you are a rising senior and you're working on your essays and you want somebody to take a look at them, you should submit them through our online portal.
