For three and a half years, two trials, millions of dollars spent, and a bunch of other nonsense, there is finally a verdict in the Karen Reid trial. I have been waiting so long to tell you that Karen Reid has been found not guilty of all charges except for operating under the influence of liquor. That does mean that Karen was found not guilty of everything that she was tried for last year and for operating under the influence of liquor, she's sentenced to one year of probation, which means no jail time for Karen Reid. There had been a little false alarm earlier around two o'clock when the jury said they had a verdict. They came back and they were like, just kidding, we actually don't have a verdict. And then about five minutes later, they were like, okay, for real, we do have a verdict at this time. It was reported that they handed off the verdict around 2.36 PM, which leads me to believe they came to the conclusion at 2.27. Maybe they signed the papers right at 2.27. Anyway, everybody came to court and they read the verdict around three o'clock. Right after that, they started talking about sentencing. I think Brennan recommended the typical sentencing that someone receives for operating under the influence in the state of Massachusetts. And so Karen got the one year of probation. While all of this is going on, by the way, the crowd outside was going wild. They were chanting all kinds of different stuff. They were chanting, where's Chloe, Horacy resigned, some stuff about Proctor. As the verdict was being read in court, you could hear the crowd outside responding to the verdict. Then Karen came outside and gave a very short statement thanking everybody for their emotional support, their financial support. And she also said that she's been fighting harder than anybody for justice for John O'Keefe, her and her legal team. Her dad also gave a little statement also thanking the team and everybody, and then also thanking content creators, which was really nice. Anytime Mr. Reid. A few people have already asked if I think that they're going to appeal anything about this. I just think Karen Reid probably never wants to see the inside of a courtroom again in her life. What do I know? I'm just a person on the internet who a year ago was like, this case could use a good chart. And now look where we are. Okay, that's it for now. There is still the civil case to talk about. I don't know if they're going to continue with it or not considering the verdicts, we'll see. But the O'Keefe family did start suing Karen civilly for wrongful death before this trial began. So I think getting a not guilty verdict on some of the charges does not preclude them from suing her. I will update you as things happen with that. But for now, Karen Reid is free and I guess that's it until the next case. Love you guys. Drink water.
