How we come up with video topics for small businesses. Okay, so we create social media content for small businesses here in Michigan, right? And to come up with these topics for our clients, we first need to get in the right frame of mind. With organic videos, the viewer is actively scrolling the feed. Therefore, we need to be creating material the viewer chooses to stop and consume. And this is way different than seeing a TV advertisement because with a TV ad, you're sitting on the couch, you're looking at the TV, waiting for your show to come back on. You can't skip the ad. Therefore, you take the path of least resistance and you just sit back and watch the ad. That being said, the ad can contain more assertive calls to action. Whereas back on the social media feed, the moment the viewer's not interested, they can just swipe away. So as digital marketers, we need to put ourselves in our target audience's shoes. What type of content would they genuinely want to consume? Maybe it's funny videos, maybe it's educational, maybe it's cinematic, beautiful video. That's up to you and I as a team to decide.
