It’s concert season so here’s a reminder of wha...
It's important to see concerts when you're middle-aged because it is the only window where you have the money and they can still hit their notes. And you can still stay awake. They were at their best in their 20s, the band was, when they were younger. Yeah, they were hungry. But you're at your financial best now. The bands could help us out. And I say this as a performing, as an entertainer. Please, for the love of God, give me an earlier show. You want it too, I know you do. You're yawning. Earlier show, no opener. Play the hits. Play the hits. Play the new stuff right around when we all want our second and only our second beer and need to go to the bathroom. Just tell me, just announce it as the intermission. I'm fine with that. Also, I might not come back from intermission. If you've played like four of your five hits, I'm like, how much do I like that one? Also, no general admission. Even if the venue doesn't have seats, give me an assigned standing spot. Ideally, I would like an assigned recliner, if not into bed. The show ends, lights off, everybody rolls out of cot. Good night. Give me a strong Wi-Fi because we're all zooming in tomorrow.
