There's a new competitor to the Airwands Smoothie. Luckily for Airwands, it's not on the same coast yet, but that's about to change very soon. I'm Sami, covering the hottest business lore, keeping you in the know. Bloomberg came out with this article that talks about the It spot in the Hamptons this year. It's called a drugstore, and it's a pop-up that opened up in the Hamptons last weekend. They're clearly catering to a certain clientele because their price point is similar to Airwands, and their Hamptons pop-up has a signature smoothie called the Velvet Rope, which starts at $20 before add-ins. The mind behind the drugstore operation is celebrity chef Jeremy Fall, and he was the first chef who was signed to Jay-Z's talent management company, Roc Nation. And later on in July, Jeremy is launching a physical location of drugstore in Brooklyn. And next month, he's opening a Venice Beach branch in LA. And both the Brooklyn and LA locations will have food items on the menu. I've been saying for a while now that Airwands should open up signature smoothie bars across major cities in the US. It'd be tough to open up full grocery stores there because they don't have the distribution there yet or a commissary kitchen there. Just as a reminder, they're selling 40,000 of these Haley Bieber smoothies alone across their LA locations. So opening up these signature smoothie bars would be super profitable, and you don't need the full distribution hub to support them. I wanna hear from you.
