The LPGA Tour Hater series is officially in the...
Jonesy and I had a call with the agency last week that represents a bunch of LPGA Tour players. We want someone that is a scratch golfer, who simply is doubtful that the women's game can hold up to the men, and will be a respectful, normal person, but thinks that they're going to win, and then do that match and host it. I think we're going to start out playing the normal tees that they play on the LPGA Tour from that distance, see how it goes for a video or two, and if the LPGA player is dusting these guys, then get a girl that will move back and be like, well, you played from 7,200 yards against a scratch golfer, and if they're like, yeah, I'll do it, we'll do it. I think we're going to start pretty normal distance that they play, and just see how a scratch golfer holds up against an LPGA Tour player. Yeah, it's going to be a hard spot to be, because you're essentially signing up to get canceled. It's like you're out there being like, I don't think the women's game is good enough to beat me. I'm just better. You're towing the misogynistic line. You're just like, yeah, I know they're a pro, but she's a woman. I can obviously beat her. I do think it's been a conversation for a long time. That's the reason the debate was sparked when Riggs was doing his thing, because it's like he's saying, it doesn't have to be abrasive. It's almost like an experiment. I want to see a guy who's a scratch, how he would do against an LPGA Tour player. And the LPGA players actually deserve this chance to show just how good they are.
