One thing no one talks about but is the biggest eye-opening experience after you do the inner work. You can't unsee what you're now aware of. Habits and parents and friends and people and yourself used to be coping mechanisms or defense mechanisms or just old childhood programming. You can't unsee it and you literally can't go back but it's one of the most freeing feelings ever. Do the inner work anyways because it's life changing.
